Remi and Celyn’s story may have been short, but I’m more than eager to see how these two fit into the expanding Infinite Arcana world. The story only spans the first handful of days after Remi and Celyn meet in a bar, but in the limited page count, these two made an impact, coming together as potential soulmates and finding themselves on the run, together, when the pesky High Council of Sorcery come meddling, again.Īlthough this can be read as a standalone, it is very much set in the same universe as the BH Sorcerer-even going so far as to briefly, but appreciatively, feature series regulars, Baptiste and Isaac in the stories climax. Tangentially linked to Jolie’s/Himes’ The Beacon Hills Sorcerer series, Blood Omen introduces some new characters in romantic leads, Remi (an ancient vampire) and Celyn (a young half-fae college student).
